After spending the better part of a year honing his talents on a mannequin, it was finally time to put what he had learned to the test on his daughter. When he tried out some of the styles he had learned, it became immediately apparent that it was, in fact, very simple to perform, and that a large number of styles were suitable for Izzy. Not only that, but they also had a tremendous amount of fun with one another. Greg realized that it was a simple method for him to spend quality time with his daughter and that it would not be stressful for her in any way, because she enjoyed it just as much as he did, if not more so than him.

Following his completion of the fundamentals, which included every last detail, they both resolved to make it a regular part of their lives. Greg believes that it all began as something he needed to learn and do, but that it has since evolved into something he enjoys doing as a hobby. He began doing his own research and watching YouTube lessons to learn more about the subject. He would next put into practice what he had learned from seeing the movies in their everyday dressing. Greg had an easy time practicing because the two of them were snowed in for the majority of the winter, giving them ample opportunity to experiment with a plethora of different hairstyles.
