He and his partner spent a significant amount of time practicing various techniques, and Greg soon discovered that he could incorporate some of his own concepts into these styles. He gained valuable experience with each new style he attempted, and he quickly became a very proficient practitioner of his trade. He accomplished more than he ever imagined was possible for him. According to Greg, when he was interviewed by the Huffington Post, “I was able to perform a simple braid in no time, then a fishbone braid, and finally a French braid in no time. When I was younger, I learnt how to put my hair in a ponytail and then flip it through itself either under or over. That’s what I call an inverted ponytail.”

He wanted to show off his daughter’s odd hairstyles, just like any other parent out there, and he wanted to show off his daughter’s strange hairstyles, too. It all started off as a series of ordinary Facebook images, but it quickly grew in popularity. A large number of individuals began contacting him to ask if he could do the same thing for them or their children, and he agreed. Greg was taken completely by surprise, as he had no idea he was genuinely that skilled at what he was doing. Others viewed the story of this single parent as a heartwarming one that more people should be aware of and encouraged them to spread the word. As a result, they began learning more about him and spreading his story at any opportunity they could find in order to get him the recognition he deserved.
