The Honeymoon
If at all possible, spend your honeymoon with your parents. It appears to be disgusting from the outside. One of the many customs of Amish life is this one: they don’t eat meat. First stop: the bride’s parents’ house for the start of the honeymoon. Afterward, the bride and groom would clean their parents’ house as a token of gratitude for their assistance.

The Honeymoon Continues
A typical Amish honeymoon consists of a number of distinct parts that are spread out across a number of different locations. After spending the first night together as husband and wife at the bride’s parents’ house, the newlyweds were ready to move on to their next destination. If the newlyweds don’t have a place of their own, they’ll stay with the parents of the bride until they can get a place of their own.
