Greg cherishes those memories, and he recalls that he received quite a few funny looks from other clients at the salon during those occasions. The fact that he was driven to perfect the styling proved that nothing could stand in his way on his journey. With each passing day, his knowledge and expertise improved, and he became increasingly adept at his profession.

Greg discovered that, despite the fact that a haircut appears to be quite hard, it might actually be rather simple to do. He discovered this while experimenting with different styles on a mannequin and was surprised by how simple some of the designs were to create. Especially the one when you don’t finish pulling the ponytail, I thought that was something very special, like extremely detailed. Not only that, but they also had a tremendous amount of fun with one another. Greg realized that it was a simple method for him to spend quality time with his daughter and that it would not be stressful for her in any way, because she enjoyed it just as much as he did, if not more so than him.

Following his completion of the fundamentals, which included every last detail, they both resolved to make it a regular part of their lives. Greg believes that it all began as something he needed to learn and do, but that it has since evolved into something he enjoys doing as a hobby. He began doing his own research and watching YouTube lessons to learn more about the subject. He would next put into practice what he had learned from seeing the movies in their everyday dressing. Greg had an easy time practicing because the two of them were snowed in for the majority of the winter, giving them ample opportunity to experiment with a plethora of different hairstyles.

He and his partner spent a significant amount of time practicing various techniques, and Greg soon discovered that he could incorporate some of his own concepts into these styles. According to Greg, when he was interviewed by the Huffington Post, “I was able to perform a simple braid in no time, then a fishbone braid, and finally a French braid in no time. When I was younger, I learnt how to put my hair in a ponytail and then flip it through itself either under or over. That’s what I call an inverted ponytail.”

A large number of individuals began contacting him to ask if he could do the same thing for them or their children, and he agreed. Greg was taken completely by surprise, as he had no idea he was genuinely that skilled at what he was doing. Others viewed the story of this single parent as a heartwarming one that more people should be aware of and encouraged them to spread the word. As a result, they began learning more about him and spreading his story at any opportunity they could find in order to get him the recognition he deserved.

The response he received, on the other hand, was far more than he had planned for. Their reaction was that his photographs are something that they would definitely use in their piece, but that they would like to interview him and write an article that is only about him and his daughter Izzy rather than includes both of them. Until he learned how to properly style his daughter’s hair, Greg said that he didn’t feel like a legitimate father. Greg not only revealed his personal story, but he also offered words of encouragement to all of the other single fathers out there who happened to come across his piece. According to Greg, fathers should cherish every moment they spend with their daughters throughout their lives. There were also multiple photographs of him styling his daughter’s hair that were included with the piece, and it didn’t take long before the entire nation was looking in his direction.

After his story went viral, Greg didn’t stop to consider the impact he had just had on the world. He considered himself to be a simple father who was doing something meaningful for his daughter. Like any father should, in my opinion. After teaching the lesson at the Daddy-Daughter Hairdo Day, he realized what he wanted to do with his life.

Greg understood exactly how the other fathers felt, whether they were single fathers or not. They were all there to learn something new that will help them become better fathers in the future. In the process, Greg came to the idea that he possessed a skill that had the potential to improve father-daughter relationships on a far greater scale than he had previously imagined. As Greg previously stated, “It occurred to me that parents have a poor reputation the more I thought about it. Most of the time, we are thought of and depicted by the media as a bunch of lazy buffoons. I wanted to do something to help change it.”

He came to the conclusion that it was time to tie things together. He started a Facebook page, which he called “The Hair Dad.” That was actually his community’s moniker for him, so he just went with it for the time being. On the page, you will notice that Greg posts new hairstyles with his daughter on a daily basis, with most of them including step-by-step tutorials for anyone who would be interested in learning how to do the hairstyle. Followers of the page are also invited to contribute their own stories or even ideas, as well as to communicate with one another and assist one another when needed. People aided Greg from the very beginning, and they continue to do so. Keep in mind that this Facebook page was not created solely for fathers; moms are more than welcome to join in the conversation.

Greg provides his services completely free of charge. His classes are included in this, to be sure. As he put it, “I received my education for free, and I am now able to pass on what I have learned. I do it because I want to assist other parents who are experiencing difficulties. This entails much more than simply styling hair. It all comes down to the relationship you have with your children.” Greg’s only desire was to do Izzy’s hair at the beginning of the relationship. He had no concept at the time how much it would disrupt their lives and how much it would genuinely affect their relationship. He had no notion what he was getting himself into.

He did not begin doing this for the sake of fame or to become wealthy as a result of it. He wants to assist his daughter, and if his expertise inspires others to take the initiative and start doing things like that on their own, it is something to be applauded.

Normally, Greg’s page has tutorials on how to get traditional hairstyles, but this is not the only thing you will discover there. He enjoys getting a little wild every now and again, especially over the holidays. He also makes his designs available to the public, and as is customary, he provides a lesson for those interested. Just in case someone wishes to give their daughter a unique look for Halloween, Christmas, or any other occasion, here are some ideas. He even produced certain back-to-school hairstyles, as well as specific sports haircuts for the daughters who might be participating in sports around the country.
