Be Wary of Your Wishes
After years of waiting, Greg’s life would finally be turned upside down, albeit in a positive way, in January 2015. Earlier this year, the Huffington Post published an article about what motherhood meant to them, and they asked for men to send in images, which Greg saw as an opportunity to show the world what he does for his daughter on a daily basis. The response he received, on the other hand, was far more than he had planned for. Their reaction was that his photographs are something that they would definitely use in their piece, but that they would like to interview him and write an article that is only about him and his daughter Izzy rather than includes both of them. They were interested in hearing the entire story.
Publishing the Story
Eventually, Greg consented to participate in the interview, and the article, which was written by Jessica Samakow, was published in February 2015. That post, like ours, recounted how it all began with a struggle to style Izzy’s hair and how it all eventually became a viral success on the internet. Until he learned how to properly style his daughter’s hair, Greg said that he didn’t feel like a legitimate father. Greg not only revealed his personal story, but he also offered words of encouragement to all of the other single fathers out there who happened to come across his piece. According to Greg, fathers should cherish every moment they spend with their daughters throughout their lives. There were also multiple photographs of him styling his daughter’s hair that were included with the piece, and it didn’t take long before the entire nation was looking in his direction.
