Chad Le Clos

Chad Le Clos is a former professional swimmer who earned several medals from Olympic Games, World Tournaments, and Commonwealth Games. At the peak of his career in the Olympics, he was considered as one of Michael Phelps’ most prominent competitors. In the 2012 Summer Olympics, he bagged the two gold medals from the Men’s 200 Metre Butterfly and Men’s 100 Metre Butterfly. A few months later, he suddenly announced that he was retiring from participating in the Olympics. However, he made a huge comeback in the 2016 Summer Olympics winning two medals from the Men’s 100 Metre Butterfly and Men’s 200 Metre Freestyle. Take note that those were not the last Olympic medals that he got. In the 2018 Summer Olympics, he managed to bring 4 medals home. Another two medals were earned by the professional swimmer as he also participated in the 2019 Summer Olympics.

Dara Torres

Dara Grace Torres, or simply Dara Torres, is a former professional swimmer. In her entire career in participating in the Olympics, she managed to win a total of 12 medals from different swimming categories – four out of those medals were gold. She was also well-known for being the oldest person, at 41 years old, ever to join the United States Olympic Team. Everything was going great in her life until she suffered from a severe injury, which forced her to stop swimming and retire from participating in the Olympics. However, as she recovered from the injury, she found a new thing to pursue, and that was modeling. Later in her life, she also started a career as a TV correspondent. Now at 53 years of age, Dara Torres is spending most of her time focusing on her daughter, Tessa Grace Torres-Hoffman, and serving as Swim Across America’s celebrity swimmer – Swim Across America is a charity that aims to fund and support research studies related to any type of cancer.
