Brooke Bennett

Brooke Marie Bennett is a retired competitive swimmer. She got her first Olympic medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics that took place in Atlanta, United States, specifically from the category of Women’s 800 Metre Freestyle. This accomplishment was a very emotional one for her because her grandfather just passed away days before the 1996 Olympic Games took place, so everything was so difficult for her, but she kept going. In the 2000 Summer Olympics, she managed to bag a total of two medals – one coming from the Women’s 800 Metre Freestyle and the other from the Women’s 400 Metre Freestyle. Now at 40 years of age, she is spending her time managing the Brooke Bennett Swim School, coaching high school swimmers, and still participating in some marathons.
