Can you believe that it took him three retirements before he finally truly said goodbye to the NBA? We already talked about the first time it happened in 1994, right before he went into the MLB. That detour did not last, so he went back to the Bulls in 1995. After three more titles with the team, he once again retired. Two years after that, he broke his promise not to return and joined the Washington Wizards instead. He had two seasons full of injuries before he finally retired for the third and last time.

When someone signs a sponsorship deal, it often means that they cannot be shot wearing something from a different brand. During the 1992 Olympics, this was almost impossible to do. Team USA wore clothing by Rebook, but this made things difficult for Jordan and his Nike gear. He wanted to satisfy Nike and made sure to cover the Reebok logo on his shoulder by covering it with the American flag. He defended this by saying, “The American flag cannot deface anything.” Well, he is not wrong about that.
