We all know that his Jordan Brand under Nike is now a multi-billion dollar company. However, it is true that Adidas rejected a possible partnership with him in the early days of his career. When he was rejected, they claimed that they only wanted to sponsor NBA players who were more than seven feet tall. Jordan was an entire foot too short to make the cut. Adidas soon regretted it.

Some sports publications did not support him when he decided that it was time to switch things up and began to play for the Chicago White Sox. In one piece, Sports Illustrated said, “Michael Jordan has no more business patrolling rightfield in Comiskey Park than Minnie Minoso has bringing the ball upcourt for the Chicago Bulls.” He did not like this piece at all and has stopped speaking to the publication since then.
