At the Store
Karen had been nearing her due date, but not once did she think that she would deliver her second child on that specific day. At the time, she had been running errands at the grocery store with her firstborn child Tarek, who was 10 years old then. They made it to the store without a problem, but she started to feel that something was wrong as they were in the middle of the shopping trip. Karen started to get contractions that signaled her that her second child was on its way.

Too Intense
She did not experience small contractions that were far apart. Instead, she experienced fast and severe ones from the get-go. Her first labor was nothing like this. What made it worse was that the contractions got so intense that she had a hard time walking back to her car. In fact, she even fell over because she was in so much pain. She decided to just pay for the groceries in the quickest manner she could so that she could return home. She hopped into the car and returned to Poe Place with her son.
