Did you know that there are 14 children in the Dion family? It’s true and Celine is actually the youngest of the bunch. Before she was born, her parents did not plan on having more as they were already having problems sustaining 13 kids. However, destiny had other things in mind, and Celine was born on March 30, 1968. As a child, Celine had to go to sleep in a cabinet drawer due to a lack of beds.

She might have had her reservations about “My Heart Will Go On,” though her husband Rene convinced her to release the song. In an interview with Jonathan Ross, she narrated, “[Angélil] said, ‘Let’s just do a demo. Let’s give it a try and we’ll see after.’ The demo is actually the real recording. I never sang the song again.” Wow, it’s almost unbelievable that this was how the iconic song came to be. The single was released in the year 1997, and it proved to be a hit, even earning Celine several awards.
