Boeing 727-400
Campbell’s airplane home was produced around 1960 to 1984. This plane model was used in short and medium-length flights. It is often used for commercial flights because of its accessibility in smaller airports.
Another fun fact about this airplane is that it has three engines which can accommodate about 189 passengers. Delta Airlines was the last major carrier who used Boeing 727. Delta Airlines retired their last Boeing 727 in April 2003 while Northwest Airlines retired theirs in June of the same year. As of this year, there are only 3 Boeing 727-200s in operation for the passenger services of the carrier Iran Aseman Airlines.

A Bleak Past
Before buying his airplane home, Campbell’s Boeing 727 once transported someone very famous back in the day and even after his death. Can you guess who? Campbell’s airplane home once transported the body of Aristotle Onassis! The body of the Greek tycoon was transported from France to Greece on March 15, 1975. At that time, his wife Jackie Kennedy-Onassis, who was also a former US First Lady, accompanied his corpse to take it home.
