I’m all too familiar with this conundrum. Your choices aren’t plenty, and the few that you do have are as enticing as a skydive without a parachute. You get it. There’s no chance you’d ask a stranger to hold onto your car keys, and leaving them under a “designated rock” sounds like the second worst idea you would have had that day.
“So What Do I Do?”
Jaguar Land Rover has created a genius solution to a pretty plain problem. The company has developed a wristband that can lock and unlock your car without having to use the key. This means that you’ll be able to leave your keys in your car, lock it with the wristband, and enjoy all the activities you could never do with your keys in your pocket.
“How Does It Work?”
Simply put, the wristband goes on your wrist (duh!) or your ankle if you want that surfer look. Next, you put your car keys in the glove compartment or under the seat. Finally, hold the wristband next to the logo of your Jaguar or Land Rover, and voila! Locked car, no keys, no worries. It’s like a Fitbit for cars… kind of.
“How Much Does It Cost?”
Although not all models are equipped with this revolutionary technology, they’re making strides towards globalization. In terms of cost, it varies, of course. You’d be looking at anything between $380 to $1,200 for the whole bundle. However, word on the street is that Jaguar Land Rover will be selling this feature as a package option with certain purchases.
